Happy Blessed New Year!

Happy New Year!  What a year it was!  BJ had two surgeries and is on the mend to a healthier 2019.  Beau and Angel celebrated their first year of marriage and a move to a great place.  Beau starts school for getting accepted into the Union.  Angel is working with little children and we are so proud of both of them.  Maria moved closer to school and got a car.  She is getting ready to graduate and is still working on her business.  We are so proud of her and love seeing all the wonderful changes coming her way.  Ireland is Revving up for a new semester at Franciscan and loving being on campus more.  She was so extraordinary in helping renovate part of the house, so talented. We are so proud of her and all the things she is learning.  Trinity is very much in love with ballet.  Taking it three days a week and on the home front working with her lamb for Farm Show.  She loves her on-line classes and is moving so fast!  She can’t learn enough.  We are so proud of her.  Kate is going into the second half of her school year.  She loves school and is quite popular I have found!  Seems all the teachers and therapists know her.  She is wearing her glasses more and starting to use a communication device.  We are very proud of her and her triumphs.

After I have told you all about my family, you see I am busy.  The best thing to happen was getting closer to all my siblings and always my Mom.  I feel that peace can be difficult but through God anything is possible.  I’m humbled and grateful for all His blessings.

So here is to 2019 being a loving, peaceful joyful year with much anticipation with what is to come.  Soon to be married 24 years and they all said it wouldn’t last!  Well it has and again God has blessed us with so many many gifts.

Thank You!

BJ and I woke up this morning to Kate!  She was "talking" in her room.  I love the little snippets.  She likes to say "bad girl" and then laugh!  Then started calling me, Mum Mum Mum.  Cracks us up.  We love going in her room to get her.  So full of joy.  Always ready for a new day!  This Saturday morning she brought her blocks to BJ to play.  This is our life.  Our children.  We would do anything for them.  All our children are gifts from God.  We never know how the road we travel will turn out.  We do the best we can to share God and love.  The most important part of life is kindness.  We teach kindness and forgiveness.  Our children practice this daily.  We are hoping they don't have the obstacles we have been dealt, but we all know they will have others. My husband BJ is my best friend.  Everything we stand for or against, we stand together.  BJ is a fantastic husband and a s...

Looly Goes to School

Looly started school!  She is going to a Special Needs Preschool to get speech therapy, occupational  therapy and physical therapy.  She was leary after the first day but once she saw her ole favorite Physical Therapist, Matt, the game was on! Matt is a young man that is married with two daughters.  He loves Kate.  He calls her turkey and she squeals with happiness.  When we first saw him after a year break, she actually kissed his cheek.  Matt has all of Kate's respect.  Matt challenges and pushes her to do better.  Sometimes there is even tears, but she will work hard for him.  By the next week he will see improvement.  It makes us all laugh at her stubborn determination to "show Matt!" This past week we were made aware through the speech therapist that they rang a bell directly behind Looly and she didn't flinch or turn to look.  So we made an appointment with a hearing specialist.  I do not believe she is 100% deaf...

Finding Peace with Charlie Kirk

It sure has been a rough time this year.  I really thought this year was going to be spectacular and finally peace among us.  How naive I still am.  Or is it the Pollyanna in me. Seeing Charlie Kirk get assassinated shook me and many others to the core.  I loved Charlie and what he stood for and yet!  I am so surprised at exactly how many people he touched.  Behind the scenes he was such a testament of who we should be.  He was genuinely GOOD!  How many times from thousands of friends did they say how he checked in on them and the encouragement he shared with them.   Now Revivals are breaking out and the younger generation is praising God in millions.  Does it make you think about yourself and how you make a difference in people’s lives?  Do you realize that your kindness and friendship is so much more powerful than you think?   When we want to mourn and hide away, we are being called to action.  Action with Praise and Glo...
